Nepal Evergreen has just planted 5,000 bamboo at Mountain Agro Resort in Airmakhue, founded by ex-Gurkha Dable, who returned to his ancestral 3,700-acre farm after 17 years in the army. Known for organic kiwi, tea, and almond cultivation, Dable is expanding into bamboo to support carbon capture, biodiversity, and sustainable farming. The fast-growing bamboo will enhance soil health, prevent erosion, and boost climate resilience—key steps in his vision for eco-friendly land use and community-based enterprise.
