First Lemon Tree Harvest at Pekanas

Over the course of two years, from 2018/2019, 2,000 lemon tree were planted on deforested land in Pekarnas above Uma Kunda School in the Kinja Valley. The lemon trees are already bearing fruit and are being transported to local markets to sell, contributing to the mitigation of deforestation and generating income for the local community.
