Launching a Greener Future in Landruk, Nepal
We’re excited to announce that we’ve just completed a major milestone in our reforestation journey! With support from Nepal Evergreen and in partnership with Mountain Lodges of Nepal, we have successfully delivered 2,000 fruit trees to 25 local farms in the stunning village of Landruk (1,565m) — over just two days.
Our team also supervised the planting process and collected soil samples at each site, as part of our long-term effort to monitor carbon levels. This data will help us estimate the carbon benefits our reforestation and sustainable agriculture projects can achieve across all planting sites.
Famous for its majestic Himalayan views, rich Gurung heritage, and wild honey traditions, Landruk is now leading the way in community-led climate action, driven by retired Gurkhas and eco-conscious farmers.
Project Highlights:
Target met: 2,000 fruit trees planted
