Located approximately 75 kilometers west of Kathmandu and situated above the confluence of the Trisuli and Tandi rivers, Nuwakot was once the historic capital town of the great kingdom of the Kathmandu Valley.
The Nuwakot region in Nepal has a subtropical highland climate with mild to warm temperatures, making it potentially suitable for growing lemon trees. Working with local farmers, we have planted 1,500 lemon and orange fruit trees between 2021 and 2023 and have a request for a further 700 lemon tree saplings in 2024. Additionally, there are several requests from small farms and households in the surrounding areas for fruit tree saplings.
