Phakding is a small village in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It lies in the Dudh Kosi river valley just north of Lukla and south of Monjo, at an altitude of 2,610 m. The Khumbu Sagarmatha National Park, situated in this region, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has held this prestigious designation since 1979. In 2023, we decided to assist local farmers aiming to diversify his crops. The land is very fertile and suitable for planting a variety of trees and crops that he can sell to the rest houses and hotels catering to the many tourists passing by on their way to Everest.
