The fertile lands and favourable climate of Nuwakot, situated at the perfect altitude of 1,500 meters, provide an ideal setting for cultivating high-quality coffee beans. As local farmers embrace sustainable agricultural practices and transition away from traditional crops like maize and rice, the coffee industry in Nuwakot has significant growth potential. Nepal Evergreen plans to help farmers establish small coffee plantations by working with those who have established plantations to provide saplings. This initiative, to plant 15,000 coffee saplings in 100 small holdings in July 2024, will contribute to the economic development of the region and promote environmental conservation by preserving the natural habitat. We have plans to create a Nepal Evergreen Himalayan Coffee Brand to help the farmers sell their produce.

From Bean to Green, with each cup of Nuwakot coffee, one can savour the rich flavours while supporting the livelihoods of local communities and fostering the sustainability of Nepal’s agricultural landscape.
