Over the course of two years, from 2022 to 2023, 10,000 tea saplings were planted on deforested land in the Kinja Valley, situated high above the village of Janassewa. Once ready, the tea will be transported to a nearby processing facility in the village of Bakanji, where it will undergo processing and be sold to buyers in Kathmandu, contributing to the mitigation of deforestation and generating income for the local community.
